  8. I. General
  9.  
  10. 1. The user of this software recognizes and accepts that this program
  11.    and all rights thereto are protected by copyright and other rights of
  12.    possession.
  13.    Dr. Hardware Sysinfo - both software and electronic or printed
  14.    documentation - is Copyright (c) Peter Gebhard, Wilmersdorfer
  15.    Str.20, 10585 Berlin, Germany.
  16. 2. The following license agreemnet take effect at 09/25/96.
  17. 3. By using this program, the user accepts these conditions of license
  18.    and use.
  19. 4. If the user doesn't accept these conditions of license the right of
  20.    use ends automatically.

  23. II. Useage
  24.  
  25. 1. The user gains through full payment of the software declared in the
  26.    original bill the right to useage of the program not exclusive to
  27.    himself.
  28.    The program, parts of the program or the documentation thereof may
  29.    not be copied, except for the purpose of a back up copy for
  30.    safekeeping. The purchaser may use a single purchased copy only for
  31.    his own purposes, and only on one computer at one time.

  33. 2. This program and all rights thereto are protected by copyright and
  34.    other rights of possession.

  36. 3. For the shareware version:
  37.    - The evaluation version of Dr. Hardware may not be sold or licensed.
  38.      Neither may a fee be charged for its use.  If a fee is charged in
  39.      connection with Dr. Hardware Sysinfo, it should only cover the
  40.      cost of copying or distribution. Payment of such fees don∩t
  41.      constitute a legal ownership.
  42.    - The evaluation version of Dr. Hardware must be presented in its
  43.      complete form. It is not allowed to distribute the program and its
  44.      documentation files separately.
  45.    - If you continue using the evaluation version of the program
  46.      after a reasonable trial period of 30 days, you have to pay a
  47.      the registration fee to the author.

  49. III. Distribution

  51. 1. The permission for distribution of shareware versions will
  52.    principally not be given exclusively.
  53. 2. Distributors may not distribute shareware versions that are older
  54.    than one year.
  55. 3. Neither the program nor its documentation may be altered in any way,
  56.    extended, changed for use on other systems, or translated into other
  57.    languages without express written permission from the author.
  58. 4. The shareware version may be distributed without written permission
  59.    by the author via disk media (Floppy Disk, CD ROM), Online Services
  60.    and BBS as far as it is not claimed "Free" or "Cheap".

  62. Distribution of the registered version:

  64. 1. Principally the registered version of Dr. Hardware may be neither
  65.    passed freely nor sold to third persons.
  66. 2. Software vendors who are interested in distributing the registered
  67.    version of Dr. Hardware Sysinfo should contact the author Peter Geb-
  68.    hard for there exists a different version for redistribution.
  69. 3. To distribute the registered version of Dr. Hardware Sysinfo the
  70.    software vendor needs an official permission by the author.
  71. 4. The vendor who wants to distribute the registered version of
  72.    Dr. Hardware Sysinfo has to order the pieces he needs. Each
  73.    copy will beregistered in a unique way so it∩s not allowed to
  74.    multiplicate one master disk.
  75. 5. Vendors should not fix a registration fee that is different from
  76.    the official fee.

  78. III. Warranty Disclaimer:

  80. 1. The author takes no responsibility for the suitability of the
  81.    program for any particular purpose. In particular, the author takes
  82.    no responsibility for damage or consequences directly or indirectly
  83.    which may arise from use of the program or its documentation.

  85. 2. It has to be emphasized that this software is operating at such a
  86.    low level that system crashes and other problems may occur suddenly
  87.    and unexpectedly.
  88.    The program user has to be aware of system troubles at any time and
  89.    is obliged to be prepared for it.
  90.    Besides others it is recommended that you...
  91.    - backup important data before running the program.
  92.    - deactivate the network.
  93.    - inspect permanently your system especially while generating
  94.      reports
  95.    - run the program under DOS in REAL MODE.

  97. IV. Others

  99. 1. The right of redelivery of the registerd version is excluded.
  100. 2. P. Gebhard warrants for copies of the registered version of
  101.    Dr. Hardware Sysinfo - as far as they were sent by himself - that the
  102.    software is properly recorded on the disk media. This warranty
  103.    extends for thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.
  104. 3. The program, the documentation and the prices are subject to change
  105.    at any time.
